Closing Thoughts
While there was low drill-down volume in several categories, the diverse big hits are undeniable.
I’ll be honest - I’m distracted. All I can see is that monster of an auction at Sotheby’s, and I’m thrilled it will be public. So many significant works (and so many 1/1) in a single collection and event. We’ll have stories to tell about that one and the history behind it.
I’d be remiss to not mention the Christie’s charity auction as well, with a number of fabulous artists participating! I know much recent talk has circulated around 1/1s being stuck in the mud. Well… that is about to change during a big incoming week.
