‘Recoated’ by Sam Spratt sells for 85 ETH ($322,952 USD) from Josh Pierce to Blondie23LMD, setting an all-time high in USD for the ‘Skulls of Luci’ 1/1/50 Collection.

Those few who know what I am in the process of creating right now both for this year and over a longer timescale know I have been deep in the throws of experimentation, investment and infrastructure building for Luci, and future planning that is beginning to enter its next phase of production. I feel deeply lucky to have an amazing group of people around and supporting me while I write my story and the new additions who will help me build the next chapters.”

Starry Night
‘la nuit étoilée’ by Alpha Centauri Kid goes live at Sotheby’s in its 24 hour Whitelist Phase. 108 and counting of the 300 edition artwork are sold at 0.2 ETH each, 21.6 ETH total, with an additional 7 sales for 2.8 ETH in on secondary. The Whitelist transitions to public sale at 2:00pm EST.
There’s a history to this artwork that references an 1889 Van Gogh original ‘The Starry Night’. Its 300 editions were originally minted almost 3 years ago on October 1st, 2021 to StarryNightCapital. That collection’s liquidation left their future uncertain until the current plans unfolded with Sotheby’s.

Closing Thoughts
Anytime an all-time high Skull sale breaks, it has a way of taking over a report. Although on this day, we also have an ACK Sotheby’s sale to track! Not to mention several interesting 1/1 artworks.
It is the kind of day we like to see across art.
We are on the road today for the Christie’s opening featuring 20 lots and artists. I’ll see about capturing some content for the 24 Hours of Art group.
