24 HOURS OF ART: Friday Highlights
Digital Art Headlines, Market Highlights, and Analysis from 9/12 - 9/13
Five Minute Selection
“Selection sold out in 5 min 47 sec. What a story...” says Jan Robert Leegte.
The fully on-chain 150 artwork collection sells out with Folia for 0.11 ETH each, with the first 30 mints to Folia as their commission.
Via Folia:
“The focus of the work is focus itself, fixating on the selection tool as its primary subject. Originally inspired by the effect of a waterfall in a beer advertisement, the animated selection marquee was invented by Bill Atkinson in 1983.”
Each ‘Selection’ “comes with a generated background, but owners can manually change it with a contract interaction to black, white, transparent or back again.”
The Wild Within
‘Whisper’ by Ryan Koopmans and Alice Wexell is now part of the Blondie23LMD collection via a deal brokered by MakersPlace and Liaison.
The 1/1 artwork is part of ‘The Wild Within’ series, through which the artists travel the world to capture historic buildings. After blending photography with digital elements and animation, the result is a unique collision of architecture and nature, past and future, physical and digital.
Collective Gazers
CollectiveVision sells another two ‘Gazers’ /1k by Matt Kane for 5.43 and 5.03 WETH.
This marks the sixth such sale in two days from the collector, with two more remaining in their collection.

Closing Thoughts
‘Gazers’ by Matt Kane are an interesting case study today. It’s a good reminder as to how much difference one collector can make (in either direction).
Let’s say you are observing the collection with no nuanced information. Your take might be an impartial: “Wow! Gazers were cruising there for weeks with high sales up to 11 ETH and a collection offer at 8 WETH. They really took a step back.”
Let’s say you are bullish on Gazers and understand the activity is via a single, fast exiting collector. Your take might be: “Wow! With a single seller swiftly exiting in a slow market that isn’t used to rapid response, I may be able to grab one of their last two Gazers at 4-5 WETH.” (Current offer is 4.1 WETH).
Let’s say you are bearish on Gazers. Your take might be: “Wow! I wonder what CollectiveVision is thinking. I’ll look for lower opportunities now that this has the collection trending down.”
What is your opinion? If you were to ask mine (NFA), the opportunistic take feels closest to the mark. Unique circumstances like this are fun to analyze.
