24 HOURS OF ART: Monday Highlights
Digital Art Headlines, Market Highlights, and Analysis from 12/15 - 12/16
No Party Like a…
‘DOOM Party’ by XCOPY sells for 180 ETH (~$712,404) to rhynotic-vault from RFC_ART via LarryH.
Originally minted in 2020 with AsyncArt, the 1/1 artwork is the “Master” Layer of a dynamic art release. It displays a full canvas of choices made by “Participant” Layer collectors, as well as “Death’s Device” background and “Death’s Hand” collectors.
On November 5th, Rhynotic posts:
“‘DOOM Party’ / ‘The Rabble’ are my favorite XCOPY works as they could not exist without the blockchain.”
Then, just after completing the collection:
“You will end up buying native cryptoart at the price you deserve.”
The Last Verdandi
“…the last 2017 Verdandi directly from the artist. Only 13 exist of these grails of early 1/1 art on Ethereum.” prefaces Adam McBride.
On the 7th anniversary of Verdandi’s Artefacts, the 13th and final - ’‘Nice To Meet You’ - sells for 4 WETH to dmor0x in auction.
Via Verdandi:
“When I first came to Ethereum in 2017, I was inspired by the idea that my digital art could be ownable. There was no money back then and certainly, no one knew what an NFT was.
All that didn’t matter to me, I learned how to code myself and tokenized this collection.
I believed in the crypto culture and possibilities back then, I believe in it MORE today.”

Closing Thoughts
The week is off to a strong start with a classic 2020 XCOPY, a 2017 Verdandi, two 2021 Helena Sarin artworks, and a 2022 Pindar Van Arman changing hands. Not to mention a significant offer in for a 2022 Socmplxd. A day for the secondary 1/1 archives.
Incoming:
This week is the biggest one of the year for 24 Hours of Art! We’ll be announcing decisions for 2025, appearing on several X Spaces, and hosting a literal 24 hour show (seriously) beginning this Thursday at 12:00pm ET.
Here we go!
I dislike Basquiat copycats, especially digitals
