Chills for Coldie
‘Edward Snowden - Decentral Eyes - Variant 01’ by Coldie is collected by skininthegame for 65 ETH.
First minted in July, 2019, the artwork was collected by javo in September, 2019 for 1.1 ETH and subsequently in April, 2020 by blockchainbrett for 12 ETH.
This follows recent skininthegame acquisitions of Coldie’s ‘Warren Buffet - Decentral Eyes - Variant 01’ for 37 ETH and ‘Proof of Work - Variant 02 - Yellow’ for 45 ETH.

This was a meta-live-performance digital art piece and so fulfilling to create and mint early days on SuperRare.
Images taken in-person during Edward Snowden’s live stream at Bitcoin 2019 Conference in San Francisco, CA. Inspired by his words and actions including how he used BTC to pay for servers used for NSA leak.
I got chills watching that live and I got those same chills when I heard this art found a new home.”

Closing Thoughts
A diverse and deep day ranging from high-end 1/1 artwork to 1/1/X collections to interesting mechanics.
Narratives move so fast across digital art and can be forceful at times. I recall a timeframe only months ago when editions were declared dead in favor of 1/1/X. Everything had to be unique. During this time, I had to set the report’s edition sales threshold at 0.2 ETH simply to ensure I included the category. As you gain the benefit of time and experience, those phases are interesting to reflect on. Much of what sustainably prevails (and by extension, accrues value) relies on the artist or brand, how they release their best work, and their evolution and progress.
