‘Fail = Try Again’ by DeeKay is collected by Antxx for 100,000 USDC.
It is his first 1/1 artwork minted since ‘Hands of Time’ was shown and sold at Christie’s in May.
Via DeeKay:
“Every couple of months, Antxx would ask me when I would be minting this piece, and I always answered, ‘Not sure.’ Originally, I wanted this piece to be an edition, but his love and conviction changed my mind to make it a 1/1. I'm so happy to have you as my new collector!”

“I am huge fan of Deekay's work especially how he creates characters and he gives them personality and humour.
At first glance, the animations can appear simple and easy, but when you look at the body language, the timing and the facial expressions of the characters you can see there is enormous depth and thought behind every frame.
Deekay told me once that he estimates he spends at least 1/3 of the time on planning a piece, and I always find the more I watch the more I see.
I connect so strongly with this piece especially as it’s something I really believe in. Trying and trying over and over until you get to your goals, and I have to say it took me a few attempt to land this piece to prove that very point.”

‘American Child’ by Hackatao is collected for 15 ETH (~$33.8k USD) by unknown.
Originally minted April 26th, 2018, the artwork is Hackatao’s 5th SuperRare 1/1 artwork and now has its fourth home, following:

‘my shadow won’t let me be’ 1/1 by Tjo is privately collected by Bigint from original owner Lowkey Vault in a deal assisted by RDToTheMoon. Rob confirms that royalties are honored.
The artwork was originally minted via SuperRare in August, 2022.

Chikai announces that 5 artworks from his ‘Cinematic AI MMXXIIV’ are collected via private sales aided by Kat.
The artworks go to 0xBrain, AP, ModeratsArt (2), and NorCal & Klutch.
They are part of an 11 artwork collection, with the remaining 6 set for public sale Wednesday, August 7th via SuperRare.

Closing Thoughts
What a day for 1/1 artwork, both primary and secondary! The DeeKay mint and private sale comes out of nowhere and is paired with significant Hackatao and Tjo secondaries. Not to be outdone, Chikai finds homes for nearly half of his upcoming AI video collection. It’s good to see 1/1 have a day in the sun.
